Capitol Update: Harvey Funding and Update

My staff is available to all constituents, each and every day.

Not only does my staff collect legislative considerations from constituents, but we provide constituent services, as well. If you need assistance navigating a State agency, have a question about a policy, or don’t know what resource to turn to, we can help.

Our office is open every weekday from 9am to 5pm. We are available year-round, but have been especially busy in the aftermath of Harvey. Some examples of topics we have provided assistance with are:

FEMA Inspections – We utilize our open lines of communication with FEMA offices to connect homeowners ad FEMA inspectors. With so many displaced, phone numbers and addresses were not always reliable.
Private Flood Insurance Payments – We connected apartment owners with Texas Department of Insurance staff to get private flood insurance payments moving. Apartment repairs are imperative to getting much-needed residences opened.
Neighborhood Debris Cleanup – Partnering with municipal, state, and federal authorities, we continue to work so that debris cleanup happens and is funded appropriately.
D-SNAP Payments– Our office ensured that those who needed access to the D-SNAP program were able to find and receive the assistance they needed.
Community Meetings -I have attended numerous neighborhood meetings, agency meetings, and town halls in order to listen to constituents about ongoing needs.

My office is available by phone, email, and even personal visits. I hope that you will reach out to us if you need assistance. You will find their reputation for hard work and getting things done is well-deserved.

It is an honor to serve you,
